Inquirer sports columnist Marcus Hayes won first place in Newspaper Sports Opinion category of the National Headliner Awards, one of the oldest and largest journalism contests in the country, for a portfolio of his columns. Judges said Hayes writes “sharp and original columns in an engaging style with an unmistakable Philly attitude.”
